I'm having a good morning. I know this because I was nice to the dog. Now, if you don't have a dog and children and a husband and a house at the same time, you may wonder why I'm not always nice to the dog. Don't worry, I do not kick the dog. But I do completely ignore her when I'm all overwhelmed and grumpy. I feed her. And I let her out into the junkyard, or I mean backyard to do her duty. That's nice of me. But I don't pet her or talk to her that much anymore unless I'm having a really good day and I remember to notice her. True confession.
My good days should probably not be dependent on blogging. But admittedly, I get a little spring in my step (and niceness toward the dog) when a post of mine is featured over on Bloggers Annex. Remember my post "Remember" (ha!) from a couple of days ago? That's the one! I'm so honored and flattered and springy. Thank you Annex. (Tia the Dog thanks you too).
Oh and what the heck! Since I'm being bossy, I'll also request the honor of your presence over at Mama Manifesto. A previous post of mine is there today and if you haven't already answered the questions from that post, you might like to. It's a fun daydream. (Did I make you curious? Are you gone yet? Do I have to beg? If you don't go, my dog might not get anymore attention today...)

People--get over there and save this dog already! Heidi, who also has an oft neglected dog . . .
Thanks again for stopping by my blog! Your blog is GREAT!! I will be a frequent visitor!
I also have a hubby, 3 children, a dog and a house....I know JUST what you are talking about!
Thank for stopping by! Loving this Mommy blogging Network!!!
I had a lovely woman find my blog from yours and she said Mama Manifesto, but I had never heard of it! I checked it out yesterday. Looks cute, but since I'm not a mom, I had to click out.
Yes, Kristina, that Bonnie is a lovely lady!
The Mama Manifesto is pretty momish I suppose, but hey! thanks for clicking there in the first place. :)
I always like what you have to say. Thanks for your insight and honesty. I am the same way with my dogs. Unfortunately they get ignored unless I am in a really good zone. Poor things. Thanks to your post i am going to do some scratching behind the ears too----their ears of course! Thanks!
Love that you have such great canine support. Smart dog, smart dog!
Blessings!
I could've sooo written this post! When it was taking us a while to get pregnant with our first our dog was my "baby"...now I just feel like he adds more housework to my life and is just one more thing that demands my attention...so he often get overlooked...I do feel guilty sometimes but I suppose once the kids are older they'll all be buddies. I had to laugh when you referred to your yard as the junkyard...that's also another thing neglected around here.
I'm so proud of you for being nice to the dog today! I went over to Mama Manifesto to read about your Dream vacay. Pretty cool. Skittles and Ally McBeal! Yeah! We have those in common. That's a cool Mama blog. Thinking of adding it to my blog roll
This is why we don't own a dog.
Yet.
Blogging doesn't make me happy enough to deal with that mess. =P
Congrats!
Headed over to check out both posts!
P.S. Is Tia in a boat in that pic?
Yeah, I'm not a big animal person. (*shock* I know I'm not supposed to say that...)
But I'm heading over there because I like YOU.
Anyway.
Even if you are an animal person. Kinda.
Yes, she's in a boat :) NOT our boat, but a borrowed family boat at auntie Janie's cabin a couple of summer's ago. What bliss. Tia fell in that day. Quite a shock for a land dog :)
LOL, poor dog!
Haha! Just change the dog's name to Sawyer and I could have written this post! (And that "yelling" photo is hilarious!)
I'm SO glad the Annex picked up "Remember" --
That's a perfect one for that showcase! I'm headed right over there to praise it again....
I'm surprised you don't have a good blogging day EVERY day -- You're one of my consistent faves!
Lucky dog! Hope you have lots more good days!
