It's no secret that I'm a total scatter-brain. I'm in my own little world quite often. I've humiliated myself due to my busy and randomly over-flowing mind more times than I can count. Being this way does make for good stories though. So I'm rolling with my homies and telling one of the stories over at Mama Manifesto today. See you there. (If you want.)
(GRANDMA, PUT YOUR CURSOR ARROW THINGY ON THE WORDS MAMA MANIFESTO AND CLICK! MAGICALLY, YOU'LL ARRIVE AT MY POST! LOVE YOU)

Seems like we are 2 peas in a pod!! I am scatter-brained too!!
I love the Grandmom note!! that is so funny!! I love grannies!
I'm on my way over!!
I'll have to check that out after my luncn meeting. In the meantime - two questions? Do you have a button? I'm getting organized and adding some to my site. Also - how on earth to I submit posts to Bloggers Annex? I have no login info in my e-mail anywhere and I signed up eons ago so I don't even remember getting any... I commented on one of their "call for submissions posts" with this question (since I saw others do the same) - but no one ever got back to me. Do you have any suggestions? Sorry that was a bit longer than I had intended....
LOVED the post!! :) Classic, classic mommy moment. If only I had thought of RAPPING instead of yelling "GET IN YOUR CAR SEAT AND STOP ARCHING YOUR BACK!"
You are genious mommy!
I also really loved the granny note. I had a recent conversation with my MIL about such things... Truly magic!
Love the rappin' mommy idea! I'm not quite as hip. I make up silly little songs to go with our daily routines- like hand washing and such. I'll have to try rappping!
Thanks for the great idea and a laugh!
Heather, thanks so much for the kind help over on my blog yesterday. I love your comments.
This post is great, especially the instructions at the end. And they're not just useful for grandmas you know!
I've only got a couple of minutes, but I will go read the post later. Love the G'ma directions!
LOVED the grandma directions.
I have to give the same ones to my mom. Over the phone. EVERY TIME I post a link.
mmmm hmmmm.
Hey...just came across your blog and ai absolutely love it!!! I also am a stay-at-home mom and many of the posts I read were as if they came out of my own mouth!
I'll be back!
Jamie
Okay, you are too funny! And so creative. :)
I'm SURE that young guy was thinking, "I hope I find someone way cool like that to bear my children one day."
I have to explain to my dad how to watch the videos on my private blog. Every time. He's 53. You'd think he would be able to figure it out by now!
Posted my comment over at MM, but girl you always crack me up. Always. Wish I could have seen it myself.
I love the Grandma note. :-)
Love the note to Grandma.
Was that note to Grandma actually aimed at me, since I wrote about not being "hip" to the IM lingo?
Don't taunt me like this and make me think you are going to blog about Word Girl!!!
that was a great post. I could just see it in my and b/c I have been there, not raping but butt bouncing in the car.
I loved that post the first time you posted it, and I like the little changes you made in it for this one.
I tried the rap. Then my kid sang it to his Grandmother and she was not impressed.
LOVE the instructions to Grandpa. I have had to do this many times for great grandpa. sigh . .. this was a great post--I remember when you posted it before.

Your Grandma checks your blog? No way. Does she comment too? I am so going to be on the lookout for her going forward!
I have to admit that it just occurrred to me how street you are, Heather. Always rollin' with your homies and all.

I have thought about this post many a time since you originally put it up. It makes me smile. It is so YOU. And you are such a great mom. I love to think about you rapping there with your kiddies. And I think the fact that you were oblivious to the onlooker is proof that your focus was where it should be – on the kids!
