When I got home, I checked my email before going to bed. After seeing what was there, my head hit the pillow with a big smile on it. Why? Well. I'm in awe of the blogging community. I have made friends that I know I will always have. I have connected with people I've never seen before, and feel a kinship to so many of you around the world. It's an absolutely amazing thing.
As we walk through this stressful time with Asher, you guys are seriously astounding me with your selfless acts of kindness! I can't even really wrap my mind around it all. We've received boxes in the mail and on our doorstep, a thousand words of encouragement in emails and comments and cards. Your gifts uplift us more than I can say. Thank you just doesn't seem to be enough. But, THANK YOU. What you have done has helped strengthen and prepare me for what comes next, so I'm smiling on my pillow because of you.
__________
You've even been giving me blog awards, as absent as I have been here and there recently.
(I apologize in advance. I can't follow all the rules or I would do nothing at all today except for preparing this post, so forgive me. Once again, I'm a total rule breaker. But I'll do the best I can!)
Thank you, Mozi Esme for this award, written in Portuguese. The explanation below is a rough English translation:
"The English translation of this gift is: "This blog invests and believes, the proximity" [meaning, that blogging makes us 'close' -being close through proxy] How awesome is that?? "They all are charmed with the blogs, wherein the majority of its aims are to show the marvels and to do friendship; there are persons who are not interested when we give them a prize, and then they help to cut these bows; do we want that they are cut, or that they propagate? Then let's try to give more attention to them!"
My understanding of this translation is that the award is given to someone whose blog "does friendship, brings people closer." That is why I'm passing it on to LisAway from Away from it All. Lisa is the kind of blogger that is an instant friend. Her writing is good, her humor is good, and if you read Lisa, you know how genuine she is. She does it all "away from it all," in Poland! Lisa's comments and posts make me feel like she's right next door.
__________
Next is an award from the lovely Sarah at Life in the Parsonage. Thank you, Sarah!
I'm passing this award on to Melanie J at Write Stuff. This excellent writer friend of mine is always honest, keeping it real while making us laugh. And when life isn't so funny, she shares her honest feelings in a way that validates my own. Melanie J, I love your honest scrap!
__________
And lastly, would you take a look? I'm brilliante with an 'e' at the end, which I'm assuming means extraordinarily brilliante. At least according to Minnesota Mom, and she is quite brilliante herself!
I'm passing this award on to Dana at Are We There Yet. Her blog is full of wit and wisdom. Dana is the mother of five, she homeschools, and yet she still finds time to encourage her readers with great parenting advice, good stories, and a brilliante sense of humor.
In closing, thank you thank you thank you thank you....
We feel your thoughts and prayers.

It's great to know people are treating your good! I would have sent something if I knew your address. I guess I could ask, huh?

Now here's my address:
KIDDING! :)
Tonight is my 'Twilight' night! I can't wait...I LOVED the books(just like everyone else).
I will admit that I think I'm on the Team Jacob side...whatever that really means?!
Congrats on all the awards!
-Zana
Heather, you totally deserve each and every one of these. You are a complete inspiration to mothers, and women everywhere!
Well deserved, all of them!
I've been wanting to tell you a couple of things:
1) LOVE those latex glove balloons--that's how I survived many hours in Orthopaedics with two kids' three broken bones inside a year. Exam-room volleyball over the table is my favorite game.
2) I just discovered "ashre" is the Hebrew word behind "blessed" in the beatitudes, and the name of one of Jacob's sons. I'm guessing you knew that, but don't forget it--Asher is dearly blessed!
And YOU are a blessing.
We're praying for you.
ahh bloggy awards..love em. and the most fun apart about it is who you pass them on to. now i have more blogs to check out and get addicted to!!
You are deserving! :)
Love what you said about the Twilight movie. Maybe I can find a couple of friends who are willing to not take it so seriously and just go laugh.
I am glad you are feeling the love and the prayers! Congrats on the awards. You so deserve them.
You are really the girl next door when I read your posts. I feel like blogging has helped me so much to meet smart and sensitive women that have enhanced the way I think about things.
Can I borrow a cup of sugar?
Thanks so much, Heather!
Your can totally tell that your blog's aim is to show the marvels and to do friendship. I really appreciate that!
