To the moon

Thursday~December 10, 2009

I promise I won't write another post with the words swine flu or bronchitis in them after this one. It seems like all I've been saying in posts and on Twitter is, I have H1N1 and bronchitis, poor me! So yeah, that stuff has cleared up. Now I'm going to move on to mentioning the stomach flu because I'm very mad at it.

Yeah
, both of the boys got it a few days ago, and then I got it last night. Our humble abode is just one big germ fest.

Please send chocolate.

No wait. Don't. Food is gross. (I'm hoping to have lost ten pounds just for saying that.) (And for spending all night and most of today on the bathroom floor.)

We're moving very soon and Christmas is coming and the sick just has to go.

I'm done with sick. I just wanted to make that announcement. Sick is fired.

I fired it around 2p.m. today and then started to feel better, which is good because I need to be places and do things. So pretty soon I'm going to get up out of this bed.

Do you know what else? My sweet boys are just so good. And their Dad is a total rock star who tries and tries to keep them from coming in here to climb on me, but the truth is, I really like their little visits.

Miles brought me a little note and told me that it said Mama, I love you. But it really said ZLMALM OLMA. Close enough if you ask me.

Then Asher came in and tried to climb up on the bed with me, so I had to tell him that I'm not sure which germs I have and I don't want him to get sick again so could he please go be with Daddy and Brother?

Then he said, OH MAAAAAN, Mommy....siiick, in his very most empathetic and low ET voice kind of way.

My three boys (yes, the grown one is included) are always pulling me through. I love them to the moon and back down again. And back up and back down and back up...infinity.

It's good that your son is an interpreter! You may have gone in a completely different direction.

Hope you feel better. I hear it's best to fire people at the end of the work day, on a Friday. That way, if they come back, no one's there. Good luck with that.

Ugh, you sound like your house has been through the sick ringer. Just think, though...you're moving soon. The sick house will be gone :)

Oh, that is SO sweet. :) Don't you love when our little boys make us laugh even when we're sick & grouchy? Hope you guys get rid of the CRUD soon!!!

Aw lady. Sounds like our house. Did you know we all had the pukes too? (last week). Yeah, it sucked. But at least it got me to clean my bathroom.

And a warning??(I'll whisper it...) My hubby got it a whole two days after I did...so you may get the chance to take care of your hubby in return...(ducking from the tomatoes you are throwing at me.)

Hopefully all of the sick will be done in time for us to hang at cupcake. I'm pulling for you girlfriend. It's a busy time for you right now, so rest up and get better. xoxo

I'm so sorry you're down with a bug, but I'm glad your little ones are stealing little visits to lift your spirits!

That's right, you just show that Sick the door. Buh bye. Got things to do and boxes to pack and 10 pounds to gain back (it's Christmas after all!).

What sweet little (and big) boys you have. It's no surprise you love them to the moon and back.

Me, Sophie, and Sam had the stomach bug on Tuesday and it sucked. Do you know how hard it is NOT to throw up when your kid throws up ON you? IJS.

Hope it passes quickly for you!

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that you've been ill, and that the crew has been down and out. :( And at this time of year??? I just fear the kids getting sick and then bringing it home...especially as more and more people are crammed into our tiny home. It's just asking for trouble.

Get better, 100% better, soon. Happy Thursday and weekend to you.

Dude, feel better.

That really sucks.

First of all, I hope you feel better... there is nothing worse than feeling like you've been turned inside out by the stomach bug.
Second of all, that note that your son brought you did not say, "I love you". It said, "Hey! Who said mommy is allowed to get sick? Mommy's don't get sick! So get your tush out of bed and come hang out with us!" Ok, maybe it did say, "I love you".

I'm sleep deprived, can you tell? Just feel good!

oh my gosh, I have been off blogging for the week and didn't know all you are going through. Get well soon!! Praying for you and your family, health and the move!!!

This made me tear up for you Heather! It's so not fun to be in that spot when you want their snuggles, but it's not good for anyone...
Feel better. Soon. I wish I could come help you pack or bake Christmas cookies for you. If you send me your address I'll mail you a big tin of cookies for when you're feeling better :)

I can't believe you've got something else! That is just out of control. I really hope you get ALL THE WAY HEALTHY extremely soon. Sheesh. I can't imagine having all the things you have to do and being sick and sick and sick.

But I'm so glad you have sweet and supportive people surrounding you! So cute, those boys.

Aw, that's awful!! I'm sorry you've been so sick. ...and glad you're feeling somewhat better & have such sweet guys looking out for you.

So if I was your IRL friend, I would totally come clean your house and help you pack and be a superhero. But since we've never met and that would be kinda like blog stalking or something creepy, I'll not volunteer. But just so you know, that's the kind of friend I am. IRL. :) Hope you have some good real life friends to take care of you.

H1N1, stomach bug, and bronchitis! On top of it all, moving! I am floored. Really.

I add to all the other well-wishers comments--I hope you get better! And fast! Super fast!

I think sickness should be banned, not just fired. Have you tried that? : )

Such sweet boys you have! I am so sorry that you haven't been feeling well...that is a lot of icky crud you have had! Hope you get better soon so you can get ready for Christmas and your big move.

Oh, they are sweet! But I can't believe I took just three days off of blog reading and you go and get the swine flu and bronchitis. Speaking from experience here - REST! Otherwise it may stretch into a six week thing like it did for me. REST!!!!! (And the Tongginator now tells me "I love you Google, Momma.")

Ugh, I can't believe that you're sick again! You've had more than your fair share of illnesses already, so maybe you've hit your quota for this winter, and are looking ahead to a much healthier 2010!
And...how sweet are your boys!?

Heather I am so sorry. That is how the flu has been affecting those around here...you think it's gone then it rears it butt ugly head back again! Your boys are so sweet! I'm glad you have them to help you feel better. Take care!

So funny. Everytime someone gets sick I'm secretly jealous because they have the chance of losing 5 pounds from all the hurling and what not. How sick am I??? Hope you're feeling better.

Just surfing around SITS. What a great site. I'll be back soon for sure!

So THERE, Sick! Go stand in the unemployment line like everyone else and leave that sweet little EO family alone!

Best wishes...

Wow... I hope all the sickness for your house was used up in 2009!! Here's hoping 2010 to be a healthy year! (Or at least the first few months of it!!)

Stopping by from SITS... blessings!

OH MAAAAAN! You have certainly been lambasted with the crud. Here's hoping you just did a marathon on germ contracting and will now be healthy for the remainder of the winter.

Cynthia said...

Awhh man! Moms don't have time for germs and sick! I'm sorry you're STILL dealing with the whole mess. I did the Swine Flu thing last summer. So not fun. I hope you've now had ALL the diseases floating around this winter so the REST of the season you can be back to your healthy self.

Oh honey...I wish I could reach in and pull the sick right out of you and yours. You have so much on your plate as it is!

Dave said...

mommys should be exempt from sick. isn't it funny how everyone but mommy can get sick, and everything keeps moving along, but if mommy gets sick, everything grinds to a halt (or explodes) (even if, or especially if, everyone else is well)

Feel better!

I'm so sorry that you're sick. =[ I hate being sick. And that's awful that it's happening right before the move. I hope you're well soon.

How wonderful to have your little ones come snuggle in with you. I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas.

Anonymous said...

Maybe we should just move Christmas to June since germs seem to interfere with it so often, especially in households with little ones. Then again, it's also nice to have that burst of happy times in the middle of the gloomy winter, especially with the reminder of the One who gave us every good thing.

I do hope you're all better very very soon! Good for those boys for taking such good care of you.

Unknown said...

Oh hon, I hope you are finally DONE with all the sickness.

Sweet, sweet boys...

You've got the right attitude. Give that germ his walking papers. Show 'em the door....Give 'em the boot, I say!

I wish I could reach in and pull the sick right out of you and yours.
