In the tub, three really is a crowd - Soap Opera Sunday

It's fine to put one of these

and one of these

in one of these:

But that's it. Just those two people.

update: this is not my tub, just a flickr photo. sorry for the confusion :) If there were a tv in my bathroom, I'd surely get too pruney.

Two boys in a tub. Totally company.

But if you add one of these:

Three (very quickly) becomes a CROWD!

"Everybody up! Everybody out! Now! Now! Now! UUUUUGGGGHHHHH!!!!"

Me-"Honey, did you accidentally poop in the tub, or did you do that on purpose?!?
Miles-"I did it on purpose."
Me- Silence.

Nice.

Everything was bath-time bliss until the dreaded,
"Um...Mom, I just pooped."
And then,
(as I quickly removed the people
from the poop-tainted tub)

"Mom, can I touch it?"

Um....NO.

So yeah, I've drawn the conclusion that very often, three really is a crowd.

(I'm truly so sorry that this lame post is my final submission as I host September's Soap Opera Sunday. But I can't help it. I wait for inspiration and sometimes inspiration is not that pretty. Tonight it came in the form of poop in the tub. Three really is a crowd in that particular circumstance. I especially think so because I'm MOM and had to find a way to get the poo out of the tub, and off the skin of my two boys.)

Thank you, Brillig for choosing my suggested theme for September, and allowing someone who talks about poo to host your Soap Opera Sunday. It's been an honor to be linked to the likes of you.

So now. Play along people! The theme (for one last Sunday) is "Three's Company....or, Three's a Crowd." As you can see, this can really be about anything. Share your posts with Mr. Linky here:

I can't believe how fast September flew by! I appreciate every blogger who took the time to submit something. If you haven't been following along, you can find the "rules" by clicking on 'Soap Opera Sundays' above. It's very easy and quite entertaining.

If you haven't been following along, I've got to say that you've missed the intriguing story that is about to come to a close from Charrette. It is seriously worth checking out! Go ahead now. Spend a bit of your Sunday reading about the "yooo hoooo's!!!"of the scariest Mother-In-Law ever! You won't regret it! Charrette has kept us in suspense and we can't wait to hear the ending. If there is an ending? Oh, please tell me there is one...

yuck. I feel your pain. Sometimes I feel like I am in a bad movie. "This is the CDC. There has been a contamination...Do not touch the brown stuff. I repeat. Do not touch the brown stuff." Wow, I am in a weird mood tonight. Probably because I just posted my 7 quirkies :)

Yet another reason I am happy I have a girl.

Wow. Another reason why a threesome is a really bad idea.

Ah, the poop. I think at my house with that even two's a crowd! ;)

And yes, I totally agree, we need the ending to Charette's story!!!

My two year old notoriously torments me with such bath time drama.

Thank you so much for using that particular picture of poop. I do appreciate it. And I'm sorta sorry I never did SOS during your month. Heaven knows I tried to think of a good one. I was a little too lazy to make any of them work. But it was a great topic and I loved reading them!! Thanks!

Ha-ha-ha-ha! Those are the cutest pooh's I've seen.

SOS have been awesome. Sorry I didn't participate. Still don't feel I'm in the same league as the participants. Maybe soon.

Yes, I love Charrette's soap opera. I've been a follower!

I have never had that experience--thank goodness! I would have been gagging and puking the whole time!!

Ah, yes. The old poop-in-the-tub story. One of the truly joyous perks of motherhood... :)

I'm glad you tagged me on your last post. I'm just having trouble narrowing it down to seven weird facts. I have so many to choose from, you see!

Did you remodel your bathroom?

Yep, that's me. The one without kids avoiding the feces talk alltogether...for now.

First of all, Nice Bathroom! Secondly, indeed, 3 is a crowd. But who among us has not had to drain, wash and refill a tub? You are among friends. LOL. Blessings, Whitney

I really should have explained that the photo is not of my tub. I should have just taken a photo of my tub, but believe it or not, I didn't even think of it. Maybe because of the poo that was just in it...

It's really a lot worse when it happens in your own house... I can deal with it in a swimming pool - everyone out, super-chlorinate, vacuum, bleach the pool deck and all the toys... but at home. "I've already done my eight hours of work guys, c'mon, really? You just did WHAT? Are you kidding me."
Those are my typical responses...

Hee hee! We went through a phase where we refused to bathe the girls till Becca had had her evening poop. Too many traumatic experiences!

Oh man, that is SO GROSS! My older duaghter did that once, and I freaked out! My husband had to step in and handle the situation...

OKAY...
either I don't know how MR. LINKY works... or he doesn't like my posts...
either way, I can't post my Sunday Soap Opera piece... sorry
I tried
several times.

Heather, this post totally made we want to share a mildly offensive picture. Check it out on me latest post. And when am I gonna start getting some kind of commission for all the readers I keep sending your way!??

Hahaha! I have a whole RAFT of these kinds of stories...children, siblings, you name it!

Somehow YOU manage to make even a little poopfest blogworthy. (GREAT twist on the theme!)

And thanks for the shout out on my SOS saga...the final chapter is finally posted.

Hey at least the tub is clean now, right?! That's how my entire house got cleaned the other day... by accident (after accident... after accident)
I have some pretty clear memories of poop in the tub when I was a kid. It must have been my brother's ;)

OH my goodness, I just went over and read Charette's story and I am speechless!
Thanks for the link!

Dearest Heather, you have been an outstanding SOS host. Thanks for ALL your efforts. This has been one of our most successful SOS runs yet! THANK YOU!!!!

As for the poop, alas, it's an all-too-familiar story around here too. And yet, you manage to tell it hilariously. Hahahaha. Ewwwwww.

That's such a hilarious post. Sadly, because I have had that experience so many times.

If you think three's a crowd, try 4.
